All schools in the Diocese of Bridgeport are fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. In order to become accredited, each school is asked to engage in a thorough and rigorous self-examination lasting 12 to 18 months. In the self-study, the school measures and verifies its achievements and identifies ways in which the institutional objectives can be perfected using the Standards for Accreditation as a guide.

After the self-study, a team of peer evaluators, who are faculty and administrators from other accredited institutions, conduct an on-site evaluation. This on-site evaluation lasts three days. The on-site evaluation assesses the institution taking into account the self-study. The team summarizes its findings in a written report which addresses the institution’s successes and suggests ways for improvement.
