A gem in the North End, our large park-like campus is home to 260 students from all over the City of Bridgeport. Our school celebrates its diversity in every grade and encourages students to share their families’ heritage throughout the year. The faculty, staff and administration strive to create a family atmosphere at the school where children are celebrated, encouraged and expected to be good citizens. St. Andrew Academy is a place where children love to learn and learn to love!
St. Ann Academy reflects the socio-economically and ethnically diverse population of Black Rock and the surrounding area. There is a very strong sense of community that is welcoming to all. Many families have been part of the St. Ann Academy community for several generations, and proudly point out a family member in Alumni Hall, where a gallery displays graduation photos of every class since the school’s founding in 1937. The school boasts of many long-standing traditions, as parents of today’s students recall childhood memories at events that still occur today.
We at St. Augustine Academy, through our belief in Christ like witness and values, provide for each student’s participation in a total Christian experience within a community bound together in loving service to one another. By educating the child, we stress that the origin and destiny of every individual is God. By building community, we develop in the student a commitment to society and to the social skills and virtues needed to achieve. By serving God and man, we establish in our students an awareness of human needs, so that they may respond to their obligation of Christian service.
We provide students with an excellent academic foundation, helping them to develop skills essential for life in the 21st century. St. Raphael cultivates a desire in each person to discover his/her own talents and gifts, while we foster an appreciation for the variety of cultures and nationalities within the school community. We also believe that our families form a partnership with us that enhances a strong foundation for each child’s future.
Our mission is to empower students with knowledge, skills and Catholic values. Members of the school community are expected to “Work Hard and Be Nice.” The school and family form a partnership to foster the development of young Christian men and women academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Successful completion of four years at Kolbe Cathedral produces an individual who exhibits caring for others in the spirit of Christianity, sharing of knowledge, skills and talents for the good of others, and strength of character that dares to make a difference by living the Gospel message.
