Overview

Kolbe Cathedral High School is a Roman Catholic coeducational, college preparatory school under the direction of the Diocese of Bridgeport.

Under the direction of the school principal, the high school English teacher is responsible for supporting the school and the Diocese of Bridgeport in its mission. Responsibilities

  • Ensure your pupils achieve learning outcomes that are above average in the subject by instructing students in a clear, concise, and fun way, and regularly preparing lesson plans that are engaging and incorporate the curriculum
  • Incorporate the school’s objectives into your curriculum by remaining up to date with mission and initiatives
  • Attend staff development days to improve your skills and receive help and feedback from colleagues
  • Regularly communicate with parents and legal guardians regarding student’s performance, track and record student progress and keep records up to date for progress reports and report card conferences
  • Review curriculum needs and execute plans for improvement, and provide tutoring and additional support
  • Act as a role model by making your students feel motivated while maintaining an approachable personality
  • Attend school events to better understand student interests and personalities outside of the regular classroom, build strong relationships with your students, and aid in the strengthening of their self-confidence while inspiring them to achieve high goals
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education or related field
  • Strong knowledge of ELA/English courses
  • Experience teaching in a classroom environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all staff and colleagues
  • Flexibility and high adaptation skills to work successfully in a school setting
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission
  • Organization and communication skills

Grades 5-8 Part Time French Teacher

Overview

Under direction of the Head of School, the Grades 5-8 French Teacher is responsible for supporting the school and the Diocese of Bridgeport in its mission. Responsibilities

St. Thomas is seeking a collaborative, enthusiastic and engaging French teacher. This teacher will work with four classes of students in the 5th=8th grade who will meet four times a week for 50 minutes. We expect this teacher to:

PT Art Teacher

Overview

St. Mary is a Catholic, classical school serving students in preschool through eighth grade. The school is part of the Diocese of Bridgeport and is located in Ridgefield, CT. The integrated academic curriculum focuses on the formation of the whole child; spiritual, intellectual, social and physical. The ideal candidate is an energetic, joyful and organized instructor responsible for creating and planning art lessons that are fun, and engaging. Instilling an appreciation for beauty and having an ability to manage a classroom are preferable. Each class meets one day a week so this part time position could be taught over two days although, a more flexible schedule is possible.
