Introduction

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Stratfield section of Fairfield, Assumption Catholic School provides a unique Catholic educational experience within the Diocese of Bridgeport. Assumption welcomes students Pre-K3 through 8th Grade from over a dozen cities and towns across Fairfield and New Haven Counties. The school is accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Assumption families are looking to provide their children with a Catholic education in a diverse community of learners. Assumption School enrolls these children from different social, economic, and cultural backgrounds and teaches them that they have intrinsic value that can’t be measured by their grades, their race, or their income. Students at Assumption are given the tools to appreciate and understand the innate dignity accorded to all people by our creator while navigating a culture that often prioritizes status and material possessions. Our students are guided to become better learners and critical thinkers to make virtuous decisions in our complex communities. We welcome you to learn more about Assumption by visiting www.assumptionfairfield.org.

"Assumption Catholic School offers families an educational environment that is increasingly representative of the real world in several ways. Having classmates with a diversity of lived experiences offers an opportunity to challenge stereotypes with compassion. Having personalized learning plans helps students practice the lifelong skill of recognizing their strengths and areas for growth. Having invested teachers and administrators encourages students to push the limits of their understanding and curiosity. Students learn that consequences often shape behavior and asking for help takes courage. We are so blessed and thankful to have a place like Assumption Catholic School in our community for our children." -Noel and Matt Quinn, Current Parents
