At Notre Dame, we like to say the pillars of our education are Character, Faith, and Intellect. But these aren’t just words. We stress these three pillars every day, in all we do. Our students are required to complete service hours in the community each year. They practice 26 Acts of Kindness, a response to the tragedy at Sandy Hook. Some spend a week building homes in rural Appalachia. Some spend a weekend in Camden, NJ. And they do it all while balancing a rigorous academic load led by teachers who encourage debate and discussion and seek out hands-on ways to make learning relevant. At Notre Dame, students are encouraged to develop their natural talents, explore new ones, and become the best they can be both intellectually and spiritually.
"I am completing my freshman year at Notre Dame and it has been amazing. I was nervous but my Link Leader made my transition very easy. I have made a lot of great friends and have had a chance to be involved in clubs, volunteer at local elementary schools, and participate in the freshman basketball and bowling teams. I love my classes and my teachers are very supportive. I especially like the projects that we do in addition to our regular classwork. Attending ND has been the best decision for me!" -Student, Jake Guastelle '23
