Located on a large property with open fields near Candlewood Lake in Danbury, Saint Gregory the Great School nurtures and educates students in Pre-K 3 through Grade 8. Offering an excellent academic program through personalized learning rooted in Gospel Values, Saint Gregory the Great’s mission is to develop students who achieve their full potential by becoming life-long learners, problem solvers, and leaders and to empower students to make a difference in an ever-changing world. Students are further enriched through special area subjects including Spanish, Technology, Music, Art and Physical Education as well as through activities such as Student Council, Helping Huskies, Chess Club, Math Club, Poetry Club, Drama Club, Fashion Club, Sports Programs and much more. The environment at Saint Gregory’s is warm and welcoming, allowing students to form, grow and learn while developing long-lasting friendships. The school and parish work closely together to build and uphold a kind, strong, faith-filled community with an extraordinary faculty and staff, who are committed to Catholic education and dedicated to our students and families.

"When my husband and I began our search for a school for our daughters, we knew that we wanted a school that was more than just a school. We wanted a school where our children would be safe and that we, as parents, would feel secure and at peace with ourselves sending them each day. We wanted a school where academics are superior. We wanted a school where each student knows each other regardless of their age or grade. We wanted a school that embraces their students and families as a part of its community. We wanted a school that would prepare our children academically and spiritually teaching them both the importance of learning and the importance of faith and religious values. At the time, it seemed as if we were asking too much to expect to find a well-rounded school that would encompass all of these qualities, but then we found Saint Gregory the Great School. Our children, while still young, have blossomed here. St. Greg’s is their home away from home and since enrolling them we have never looked back." -Parent, Teresa Lang
